What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal data Paryatan collects when you use our website, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to paryatan.com and any booking you make through us.
We are the data fiduciary for the information described here. If you have questions about anything below, contact us using the details at the end.
Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account details — your name, email address and phone number when you sign in
- Booking details — traveller names, travel dates, package selections and any preferences or accessibility requirements you tell us about
- Enquiry details — the name, mobile number, optional email, traveller count, travel date and notes you submit when you request a callback
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches run and general interaction data, used to understand which parts of the site are useful
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and device information, collected automatically in server logs
How we use it
We use your information to confirm and deliver bookings, to communicate with you about a trip you have booked, to provide customer support, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We also use aggregate usage data to improve the site. This analysis does not identify you individually.
We send marketing email only if you have subscribed. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing does not affect emails about a booking you have already made.
Payments
This website does not take payments. We never ask for a card number, CVV, UPI PIN or netbanking password on any Paryatan page, and there is no form here that accepts one. If a page claiming to be ours asks you for those details, it is not ours — please report it to us.
Payment for a confirmed booking is arranged separately by our travel team through a channel we tell you about on the call. We retain the transaction reference, amount, date and status for accounting and refunds.
Who we share it with
Delivering a trip means passing certain details to the people providing it. We share only what is necessary, and only for that purpose.
- Hotels, houseboat operators, transport providers and local guides — traveller names and dates needed to hold your reservation
- WhatsApp (Meta) — your enquiry is forwarded to our travel team over the WhatsApp Business API so they can call you back
- Service providers who host our website and send our email, bound by contract to protect your data
- Government or law enforcement authorities, where we are legally required to disclose
How long we keep it
Booking and transaction records are kept for as long as required by Indian tax and accounting law. Account data is kept while your account is active. Marketing subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe.
If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your profile and preferences, but we may need to retain booking and payment records to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is inaccurate or out of date
- Delete your account and associated data, subject to the retention rules above
- Stop sending you marketing communications
- Explain how a particular piece of your data is being used
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though signing in and completing a booking will not work properly without the essential ones.
Security
We use encryption in transit, restrict internal access to personal data, and rely on established third parties for payment processing. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from anyone under 18. Children travelling as part of a booking are included by the adult making that booking.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change, and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated by email where we hold an address for you.
